Security is a major concern in Argentina; armed robberies are common anywhere where cash or portable electronics are in evidence. This series is from Mendoza–the experience of ordering salad and a couple of empanadas from the corner deli for dinner. Fortunately, we’d been in the deli the evening before, when staffing levels were such that customers were allowed in the door, and knew what to order.
