Where we’ve landed

I’ve decided to head straight to Argentina without a stop in Chile. December was exhausting. It is nice to just settle in. S found us this lovely house on the outskirts of Maipú. It is just a few kilometers from our friend Hans who has a bed and breakfast we stayed at when we were here in 2010.

More on visiting Hans in a future post. For now, know we are here, we are well and the first two weeks have gone well. There are issues to work out, but that is to be expected. And there is the heat to survive. Highs of 39 degrees C are not uncommon in January. Sensible argentines have headed south to the woods or west to the beaches in Chile.

We are learning, as the Italians say, the “art of doing nothing.”

We send love.
