Mehmet’s Villages

Our guide through this land was Mehmet, a 25-year-old man whose family has lived here for generations. Until the 1963 earthquake, his family lived in the cave dwellings pictured in the first two shots. The third shot, showing where his family lives now, required me only to turn around.
