Pamukkale

Where we rested up after all those ruins–and to charge the batteries for Konya. It was very romantic. And good for us. I’m always surprised by the helpful effects of mineral spas. A week later and my joint swelling remains minimal. These waters are at Pamukkale. None of my photos turned out so I refer you here for a shot of the stunning white travertine rock the hot springs produce. http://wikitravel.org/en/Pamukkale we never did learn why the rock produced by these waters just down the road turns red over time. Any geologists around?
