I&#8217;d seen the restaurant at lunch&#8211;but it was packed with reservations on the last two tables. A good sign, I thought. Took S in the evening, just after 6. The surrounding businesses we mostly closed. I think this place is really a lunch place but the proprietor warmly welcomed us&#8211;and could feed us as long as we were willing to eat a &#8220;sandwich&#8221;.<br \/>\nIt was a homey place, cute illustrations of kitchens with bears in aprons and English mottos: home is where the heart is, etc.<br \/>\nThe only other person to show up was the proprietor&#8217;s friend, a man with a guitar. They turned off the television and asked us if it was ok if they played.<br \/>\nAmazing. What a night. We are so blessed.
